Who owns Hopelessly Devoted?

What was my vision?

My name is Paul Bowen.

Hopelessly Devoted has been created by Paul Bowen who has a passion for growing an exciting network for singles in the South Wales and surrounding area.

Paul and his team realize that being single can be pretty exciting if you have a choice of places to go on a regular basis and a chance to spend your time in good company. These are the things that lay the foundation for great new relationships!

With a strong background in promotions for over 20 years Paul’s experience puts him in the perfect position to make the events of Hopelessly Devoted the place to be seen. Throughout the coming months there will be opportunities to try different activities at a range of venues, but most importantly socialize with other singles.

And just so you don’t miss anything the on line membership club has been designed so you can get to know other singles and keep up to date with what events are on offer in the  months ahead.

Do you think individuals will want to go to your events?

We at Hopelessly Devoted hope so! Being single is not easy at times. We all reach an age when friends get married, have partners and children. We have children of our own and don’t want to go to pubs and clubs like we used to anymore. All of us have spent nights home alone when we would like to be out having fun somewhere. Hopelessly Devoted offers all single people an opportunity to attend a range of events where they can meet friends, prospective partners and have a good time.

Is it just a dating site?

No.

We hope that the dating site will appeal to many people. We believe that the site looks good and is easy to navigate. Dating sites are a great way to meet people from the security of your own home and they will continue to be around for many years to come. Hopelessly Devoted is a different company. We stage regular, fun, interesting and alternative events for our members and sub members. Our approach is innovative, friendly and fun.

What is the target market?

SINGLES ONLY – Hopelessly Devoted’s definition of single is anyone who does not have a current partner. An individual may be separated, but still married, which of course does not necessarily mean that the 2 individuals are together. SINGLES over the age of 25 are welcome on to the site and various events will be organised for specific age ranges.

Do you have to be single to attend events and join the dating site?

YES.

Many dating sites have recently become a breeding ground for married people to frequent. We have strong views on this subject and only approve SINGLES to be members. We cannot guarantee that all dating site users will be single but we approve profiles and listen to any comments that arise regarding married users. The same applies to individuals who attend events. Visitors will not have uploaded profiles, so we can only hope that they are genuine and single.

Why organise events?

Internet Dating and Social Networking sites are a great way of meeting new people and keeping in contact with friends and family.

Hopelessly Devoted was formed to offer dating and social networking, but also to create an avenue for single men and women to improve their social life by attending events with fellow single individuals.

Hopelessly Devoted stages regular singles events throughout Wales every month.

Many single people do not have the opportunity to socialise as much as they used to due to family commitments, work restrictions, relocation to a new area or simply their friends are settled in relationships.

The events are designed so that individuals can attend alone and confident in the knowledge that they will meet new friends, possibly prospective partners and have a good time.

Many single people find dating and online dating intimidating but with Hopelessly Devoted this pressure is significantly reduced. Everyone else attending the event is in the same circumstances as each other!

There is a vast range of events to choose from: Dinner Dating, Party Nights, a Day at the Polo, an evening with an Entertainer or Horse Racing to name a few. It is all about FUN for an evening, lunchtime or full day for singles.

Hosts are on hand at every event to make you feel comfortable and welcome.
